Press Release Body: Serve Businesses Worldwide Board of Directors Press Conference Took Place in Atlantic City
On November 3, 2007 in Atlantic City Convention Center Serve Businesses Worldwide Board of Directors press conference took place. It was devoted to SBW business framework, the operation of the company's head office and branches, and prospects for the development. Among the officials who held the conference there were Serve Businesses Worldwide CEO Douglas Robinson, inside director Oscar Stephens, and Development Director Ewan McDowell. Besides, the representative offices' managers were present: Antonio Marichelli from the branch in Italy, Stefan Sauber from the German office, and SBW Russian branch manager Yevgeniya Sablina.
First of all Douglas Robinson announced that SBW representative office in Russia, which was established in December 2006, started full-scale operation. According to Yevgeniya Sablina, a year's time was enough for the team to work out all the mechanisms, select highly-qualified personnel, and execute several large orders, namely, remote trade fair visiting of EXPO REAL, THERMPROCESS, METEC and GIFA. The standard set of services (remote trade fair visiting, assistance at establishing of client companies' representative offices abroad and distribution of promotional materials at trade fairs) has been supplemented by such new services as trade fair tickets booking, organization of business tours, and provision of an interpreter's services during a trade fair. Yevgeniya Sablina pointed out that SBW core service called 'remote trade fair visiting' is spreading quickly in Russia mainly thanks to Serve Businesses Worldwide. "Our clients come to understand that the service is very attractive both financially and organizationally, - said Yevgeniya. - I think that very soon lots of Russian companies will assign trade fair visiting to SBW, just like their foreign colleagues do. At the moment there is a tendency towards outsourcing in Russia, including consulting in the sphere of trade fair business".
In his turn, the manager of SBW Italian branch Antonio Marichelli observed that in Europe, where such a tendency has been obvious for a long time already and the service 'remote trade fair visiting' is not the latest innovation, there is still a rapidly growing demand on it. This point was supported by SBW German branch manager Stefan Sauber who reported continuous recruitment of new branch employees and representatives in other countries. 'It is caused by real market requirements. - said Stefan Sauber. - The number of annual trade fairs constantly grows along with the number of companies interested in visiting them. Trade fairs dealing in new fields appear and arouse poignant interest in both manufacturers and their clients'.
As for the problems Serve Businesses Worldwide face, Douglas Robinson said that nowadays the main assets of any company are its human resources, but on the other hand people are the basic source of difficulties. 'Managing people is much more complex a task than operating a machine. A wide range of psychological factors are incorporated here. Besides, today most spheres experience lack of professionals: it is quite difficult to find an employee whose expertise and traits would suit the goal set perfectly. However, looking for such people and finding them is our first and foremost task!' - said Douglas Robinson.
Development Director Ewan McDowell was asked a few questions concerning the perspectives and framework of Serve Businesses Worldwide growth and development. According to McDowell, in the nearest future the programme of cooperation with travel agencies will be implemented, and it will be of advantage to the both sides. Apart from that, next year a branch in China is going to be established, since on the eve of the Olympic Games the investment status of the country has improved significantly. As a result, more and more trade fair organizers choose China as a stage to hold trade fairs. 'It is no secret that the share of Chinese goods in the international market increases, its quality and competitiveness improves. And Serve Businesses Worldwide comes in very useful where business is in the stage of rapid development,' - remarked Ewan McDowell.
